All for a Bug Juice

My 5-year-old nephew, Junior, started kindergarten this year and because of the proximity of his school and home, its been arranged that I pick him up from school almost everyday on my lunch break. And everyday after school we stop by the Maverick by his house to grab a Bug Juice for him, his brothers, and me.

This ritual has been on-going since August of this year, so it's been a bit over 2 months, and you would think that stopping at the same time Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays at the same store would earn you some kind friendly recognition from the store attendants. Well think again......

I've been playing with the idea of stopping somewhere else, but the cons of this idea are several:
  •  Going out of my way to find another store, the one we go to is so conviniently located between the school and his house and it's right in the flow of things.
    • Finding another store would go against traffic and against our directional flow.
  • Believe or not, Maverick typically has better prices over 7-11.
  • Last week that we did try 7-11; Junior was like, "why are we here Tia??"
Obviously I thought I had more cons than pros to switching and in writting them out I guess I really don't. But the biggest pro of switching is that when we did go the 7-11, the clerk was much much more friendlier... I was taken aback when she said "Hi, how are you doing today?" but not just to me, but she asked Junior too!!!

The biggest con is that it's somewhat out of my way and against traffic flow. Which doesn't seem like a big deal until you actually are fighting the millions of parents who do not know how to drive and are creating their own parking spaces and lanes and driving rules and etc, etc, etc.....

New Blog

So my baby nephew, Joseph Ramon, aka Monster, but more kindly JoJo is super smart for an almost 20-month old baby boy who likes to torment his older brothers and sisters and me...... He already understand both English and Spanish so instead of asking him for kisses you ask him for besos and he gives you the best baby kisses ever!! Hence the name of this Blog.

My brother has taken to calling him his spark because he is such a little monster.

A few months ago, he was over hanging out with me and my dad and we were all in the dinning room but he kept on trying to go to the kitchen because he loves to look out a low window we have and watch the dog play. He also likes to go over there because -- although he has fallen many times, he thinks he can go down the 3 steps that lead to the back door to go outside. So I kept on telling him to stay out of the kitchen; well to him that means: lets just push it and keep running back and forth to the walkway between the dinning room and the kitchen while looking right back at Tia and giving her my "nah nah nah nah" smile. A few minutes later my dad walks into the kitchen, and there goes JoJo. Not before, however, stopping at the doorway and giving me this huge grin of "What are you going to do now?" and running straight into the kitchen giggling as he went.....

TBD Weekend

Weekend Scenario #1: Be locked in my office for both Saturday/Sunday in preparation for a Monday night Western Conference Final match up RSL vs. New York

Weekend Scenario #2: Road Trip! To Carson City, CA to go watch the Western Conference Final on Sunday featuring RSL vs. LA Galaxy.

Weekend Scenario #3: Locked in my room sad and eating tons of cookie-dough because Stupid Seattle came back from 3-0 deficit and showed RSL the door out of the Western Conference Final....

With Real Salt Lake playing the second part of Western Conference Semifinal tonight, my life this week has been... to keep it in one work: Edgy.

Monday was kind of boring/lame not much happening besides actual the down and dirty work of Season Ticket Renewals....

Tuesday: So anxious with anticipation for Wednesday while trying to stay on task and keep up the work and lost precious sleep in the thoughts of what might happen Wednesday night.....

Wednesday: Well let's just say that I could probably be out running around because of all the jittery energy (not caffeine related) I have in anticipation for tonight on less than 4 hours of sleep...

Oh and why is tonight so important? Because after tonight one or two of my possible weekend scenarios previously listed are scratched out. If RSL wins the series against Seattle then Weekend Scenario #3 becomes impossible and I am back to anxious anticipation of Thursday (LA Galaxy vs NY Red Bulls) night game that will determine weather it's Weekend Scenario #1 or Weekend Scenario #2.

But instead if we loose tonight (not allowing myself to think about it, but I will write about it) than I will more than likely need some cheering up this weekend because I will be so so sad that we are out of of the playoffs..... And might take that road trip to LA for just the heck of it......

Anyways.... Welcome the first entry of my new blog "Beso Blog"....

What will I write about? Everything and anything..... Enjoy!! :-)
